Nick Theobald  - Research Associate

Nick Theobald joined the SPHERE Institute and Acumen, LLC as a Research Associate in 2008. Nick holds a Ph.D. from Texas A&M in Political Science with specializations in the areas on public policy, public administration and research methods, and has taught courses in these areas at Texas A&M, the University of Kansas and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He previously held the position of Research Director of the Texas Educational Excellence Project where he managed the Project’s extensive database of education and education-related data, and wrote annual reports indentifying districts that excelled in educating minority children. He also has several publications in the areas of education policy, intergovernmental relations, and criminal justice. His general interest in policy concerns achieving equitable and effective policy outcomes.
